10 Yetis Insight Blog- Ways To Look Switched On In Your Meetings

When you’re working in a digital agency like 10 Yetis, there is nothing worse for clients and co-workers than looking like you are uninterested or bored within a meeting, or even *gasp* not having anything to contribute to when your boss asks for your input during a meeting where the whole team is staring into your soul, secretly laughing at how clueless you are.

To avoid any future work-based humiliation and actually appear to know exactly what you are talking about, it’s probably a good idea to follow these steps to look ultra switched on and get some brownie points at the same time.

There is nothing that screams ‘I don’t care about what you’re talking about’ then playing on your phone or staring out of the window.

Stop this. Your boss will notice if you’re properly paying attention in each meeting. Taking notes is a great start, even if they are practically incoherent when you come to revisit them at a later date!

Another top tip is to ask questions; it’s obvious that you’ve been listening intently if you’re asking questions relevant to the topics being brought up in your meeting. It also makes you look thirsty for knowledge and eager to improve yourself, which will impress your boss profusely!
