10 Yetis Examples of Good and Bad Public Relations- Friday 27th April 2012

Apr 27th 2012

Hello All! Emma with today's Good and Bad PR winners and losers. Have a lovely weekend!

Good PR
Today's Good PR goes to the iPad and a number of iPad apps, which have received some nice press attention today for some snazzy tablet pics.

In a great example of how to get Good PR for simply doing something well, digital artist Roz Hall has been showing off his iPad-based artworks; showing off the masterpieces he's created digitally using his iPad and a number of art-based apps. Apps including Brushes, Procreate and InkPad all get a mention for helping him to create his pictures, and with mentions on the likes of the Mail, it's a great example of a simple way to get great PR for a number of things.

Some of his snazzy creations are below:

Bad PR
KFC are today's winners of Bad PR, after it was revealed that they've had to pay £5 million in compensation to a girl poisoned by a chicken meal from the restaurant.

Monika Samaan, who was aged 7 at the time, ate a "Twister chicken wrap" at a KFC restaurant in Sydney and sadly contracted salmonella from it; leaving her severely brain damaged and in a wheelchair. KFC were ordered to pay £5 million in compensation to the girl, whose life has obviously been terribly affected by the illness she contracted from the restaurant.
