10 Yetis Examples of Good and Bad Public Relations - Thursday 24th May 2012

May 24th 2012

Our examples of good and bad public relations come courtesy of our lovely work experience Jess today...

Good PR

Good PR goes to the GB's female beach volleyball team who went for a warm-up this morning outside London's Parliament Square.

The stunt was to highlight how busy the roads will be during the summer Olympics, as there will be up to 1, 000 extra games-related vehicles travelling every hour.

It was also great PR for the team, as it created more awareness of the fact they would be competing this summer in London 2012 and encourages national celebration and support.

Bad PR

It's not looking so (Finger Lickin') Good for KFC at the moment, as the fast food chain been accused of using wood from endangered rainforests to make the boxes for its takeaway chicken.

After being analysed by eco campaigners, the cardboard cartons reportedly contained traces of protected tree fibre. KFC has branded it a 'publicity stunt', however they're not in the good books with Greenpeace.

Fully Loaded with chicken or carbon footprint?
