10 Yetis Examples of Good and Bad Public Relations- Tuesday 29th May 2012

May 29th 2012

Hello! Shaun here with today's examples of good and bad public relations.

Good PR

Today's 10 Yetis good PR award goes to the healthy drinks company Innocent, which has been named the most 'social' brand in the latest Social Brands 100 chart; a ranking of consumer brands and their use of social media.

Innocent beat coffee giant Starbucks, which took second place. The top 10 also featured the new mobile brand Giffgaff, which came third, as well as several charities, including Cancer Research UK and the British Red Cross. Cadbury, ASOS and the Met Office also featured in the top 10, but Innocent beat them all to the top spot.

Check out this video, made by the guys over at Brand Republic, about Innocent HERE.

What great PR for an already great company!

Bad PR

Today's example of bad PR surrounds the teenage pop super star Justin Bieber, who is reportedly wanted for questioning by police. These reports come after Bieber allegedly attacked a paparazzo whilst on a date with Selena Gomez.

The scrap apparently happened when the photographer tried to grab some photos of Bieber on a date with Selena Gomez. The couple were snapped after they walked out of a theatre at The Commons at Calabasas.

The police we called by the photographer who was attacked, with Sheriff Lt. Robert Wiard saying the pap complained of pains in his chest.

Not good for Justin's squawky clean public reputation!
