10 Yetis Examples of Good and Bad Public Relations - Tuesday 12th June 2012

Jun 12th 2012

Afternoon everyone, I hope you're all feeling fabulous; it's Alexa here with Tuesday's good and bad PR: celebrity edition!

Good PR

A nude billboard of Rihanna in Times Square stirred up all the right kinds of controversy to promote her new fragrance Rebelle. It follows speculation that the R&B singer used a body double in a recent Armani jeans advert. It's a well-timed advert, then, to simultaneously dismiss the rumours and use the coverage to get everyone talking about the apparently "defiant" scent.

Bad PR

The press are begging Madonna to give it a rest after she reportedly flashed her nipple onstage in Turkey during her MDNA tour. Everyone reckons that it's about time the 53 year old mother put it all away in favour of aging with dignity. It made today's bad PR because of the sheer bad timing; Madonna recently accused Lady Gaga of copying her song 'Express Yourself' which was not received well by fans. Now she looks resentful and outdated.
