10 Yetis Examples of Good and Bad Public Relations- Tuesday 19th June 2012

Jun 19th 2012

Hey everyone, this is Alexa for Tuesday's slice of good and bad PR.

Good PR

Have you heard of 50 Shades of Grey? I wouldn't blame you for wondering why I even asked - the trilogy of books by EL James has taken the world by storm for its racy content. Incredible PR as both regional and national news sources are reporting that it has become the fastest selling paperback of all time: even more than Harry Potter and the Hunger Games. As a result, people who don't fall under the "mummy porn" demographic are picking up a copy and adding it to their libraries.

Bad PR

Oh, David Cameron, you've got yourself some more trouble to deal with. The chief treasurer Lord Fink has made headlines today following accusations of breaking "anti-sleaze" rules - he arranged an expensive event for American Express cardholders to watch two days of Wimbledon, a drinks reception and then a House of Lords dinner. What about everyone else, eh? The press aren't presenting this revelation favourably considering the austerity measures finally implemented in Greece and Spain.
