Andy in the hot seat today...
Bad Public Relations:
Halfords has taken a beating in the media today courtesy of its share price taking a whack on the back of a set of poor results. A dividend cut, combined with deteriorating sales meant their share price has hit an all time low.
A sad time for me given the amount of help the lovely people of Halfords have given me over the years with our dodgy motors.
Good Public Relations
Yammer, the 4year old b2b social network has been bought by Microsoft for £770m. It is the latest massive social media sale, the last being Instagram.
I wonder if this was secured by Microsoft to try and compliment its already strong portfolio of b2b tools such as Sharepoint.
