10 Yetis Examples of Good and Bad Public Relations- Monday 2nd July 2012

Jul 2nd 2012

Morning everyone, Alexa here with some good and bad PR to kick off this Monday.

Good PR

Fantastic PR goes to Lucas' Papaw Ointment. The Australian cleansing product has been labelled as Holly Willoughby's skin treatment of choice - great timing as recently she tweeted a picture of herself with no makeup on. A storm of articles, shocked at how great she looked, made everyone wonder how the presenter managed it. The press are claiming that its Papaw's "papaya" extract which makes it great for "cleansing and soothing". I wouldn't be surprised if everyone swaps their expensive creams for this well-priced 'natural' product, now that it's been associated with a high profile celebrity.

Bad PR

Following news of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise' divorce, the press are going wild about Scientology. Reports of Holmes being "followed" by members of the church is making the religion seem a little like a "cult" (according to the press) Unsurprisingly, it's an image that they've tried to distance themselves from in the past. Scientology has been labelled as a "trigger-point" for the celebrity couple's divorce under fears that daughter Suri will be "brainwashed"- so not a good day for the religion of choice for many Hollywood A Listers.
