Afternoon everyone, it's Alexa here with some good and bad PR to lighten your day this Tuesday.

Good PR

Good PR goes to mothers, yes, mothers: even yours. A new study, conducted over 10 years, reportedly shows that your mum shapes the positive aspects of who you are, even if she might have been difficult and embarrassing growing up. This optimistic press coverage is refreshing when we're usually bombarded with the antics of 'bad' mothers - celebrities like Britney Spears, for example. Perhaps it's going to see a new attitude towards mums in the media; after all, it was reported that Katie Holmes triggered her divorce because she wanted to protect her child from the threats of Scientology.

Bad PR

The bad PR slap of the day has to go to Barclays... again. Heads continue to roll at the recently exposed bank, with news of Bob Diamond's resignation emerging today. Shares have reportedly decreased from a worth of £1 in 2006 to 29p in 2012. If this isn't evidence of a bad public image, I don't know what is. The press are reporting the scandal with ominous undertones - as if the British public's morale needs any more shaking in their financial sectors!
