10 Yetis Examples of Good and Bad PR - Friday July 6th 2012

Jul 6th 2012

Our lovely work experience student, Amber, has written today's example of good and bad PR. Take it away Amber...

Good PR:

Good PR (strangely) goes to David Cameron and the Olympics today as the PM has predicted a £13bn gain from the Olympics. This is good news after such a long economic downfall, hopefully this will encourage people to spend within Britain rather than take holidays abroad.

PR Agency

My only concern is the so many false predictions before; would you trust the validity of this one? Also after such an extortionate pay out for the cost of the stadium and opening ceremony, will the income make up for all the expenditure?

Bad PR:

Today's example of bad PR is Google and android. Today it has been claimed that many Android phones have been taken over by a virus that sends out spam. This is bad news for android manufacturers as nobody likes useless spam and will be deterred by it.

Reports are also stating that the spam virus could cause a stationary period in income for android phones. Furthermore, it may cause people to change their phones as they may harbour a virus they don't know about. Looks like android users are in for a rocky time.
