10 Yetis Examples of Good and Bad Public Relations- Thursday 12th July 2012

Jul 12th 2012

Greetings, Yours Truly (Alexa, jeeez) here to delight your brain with some delicious good and bad PR.

Good PR
Who gives a crap? Well, quite. A ginger man recently met his target of $50,000 for his toilet roll company that intends to donate half of its profits to helping hygiene in developing countries. How did he achieve this, you ask? He refused to leave his toilet, that's how.

The press was full of affection for his wicked stunt and has generated enough attention for him to finally dethrone himself - he won't have to get on again any time soon. People could follow his toilet-escapades here, and even though he has now successfully stepped off the throne, the site is still worth checking out.

Bad PR
Today's Bad PR goes to the Olympic security guards provided by G4S, because there isn't enough of them. The press are reporting that it's densely inappropriate for the army to stand in as they should be spending time with their families either before or after their tours abroad.

Plus, the Olympic coordinators want to stay as far away from a militarised image as possible. However, heads are rolling at G4S because this shortage has been revealed with only 2 weeks before the games. Nice one guys.
