10 Yetis Examples of Good and Bad Public Relations- Tuesday 17th July 2012

Jul 17th 2012

Morning all, it's Alexa here once more for some good and bad PR to make your day this Tuesday.

Good PR

Today's good PR goes to fashion brand Boux Avenue who have gained exposure for their name by releasing a range of swimwear that 'fits like lingerie'. The previously-unknown Theo Paphitis heads the label and has got some nice coverage in wider fashion circles. The press are loving the swimwear with functionality in mind this summer and, of course, some good looking models. The timing couldn't be better with the Olympics very soon - people are reportedly more inclined to get fit and 'bikini ready' under the auspices of international sporting talent.

Bad PR

Goes to US Airways today, or passengers, or aeroplanes. I'm not quite sure. Five people have reportedly been hospitalised due to a horrendous smell inside a US Airways plane that was due to touch down in Rome from America. Some were vomiting and nauseous whilst others had to be visited by paramedics. It has not since emerged what the smell was, although the press are speculating some kind of en-masse aerial fart. Either way, it's not exactly great coverage for the airline.
