10 Yetis Examples of Good and Bad PR - Wednesday 18th July 2012

Jul 18th 2012

Good PR
Who doesn't love the Pinkett-Smith family? Seriously, who? Well if you have ever had any doubts, today's example of good PR should sway you and make you love them as much as me.

News stories today are reporting on the family's campaign which is urging Congress to fight harder against human trafficking in the USA and abroad. The reports are brief as they were simply based on a tweet from Willow Smith in which she let all her followers know that she was 'getting radical on human trafficking!'

I am sure the family aren't doing it for the publicity, but hey, it can't hurt!

Bad PR
Today's example of bad PR is possibly any 'fast food restaurants' worse nightmare. In fairness, Burger King is doing a cracking job at masking the incident and spinning it into a positive story, but sadly it still doesn't hide the fact that an employee stood on food that was then sold to customers.

A rather stupid Burger King employee posted a picture of himself (well, his feet) standing on trays of lettuce that are used for the burgers with the caption 'This is the lettuce you eat at Burger King'.

Public Relations

Burger King can't hide from this story, so it's leaning on the fact that it only took 15 minutes to track down the employee and sack him.
