Wow, what a great week of volunteering! It was just so great and beneficial to work at 10 Yetis this week; I don't think it could have been any better!

Straight away I jumped head into the challenge of working at 10 Yetis, everyone was just so welcoming that I soon felt completely at home in a matter of minutes. I was given small tasks for me to complete but I soon began to realise that the further you got into the week, the higher the work rate required. I found the work very useful as it taught me how to deal with deadlines and helped me immensely with time management. I had tasks that started off as a challenge, but at the week progressed so did my management of the day to day routines and deadlines.

The thing that I most looked forward to each day at 10 yetis was searching for examples of good and bad PR in the news and being allowed the freedom of choice in what stories I found good or bad, I found it interesting and how such stories directly impacted the business. This taught me how to tell the difference between examples of PR and advertisement which are two completely different things; I don't confuse them!

The best thing that I felt that I contributed well within the 10 Yetis office was the angles meetings. I enjoyed discussing ideas for press releases and how the use of social media (such as twitter) and tabloids could be adapted to suit certain purposes. This really was great fun and fulfilling, an aspect I enjoyed a lot.

All in all, it was an amazing week; I was surrounded by fantastic people that make you feel like family. Their fun and bubbly personalities are friendly, yet they taught me skills that are not just specific to PR but that can also be made relevant in day to day life.

I would urge everyone to come and work at 10 Yetis. It really is a magical place.
