10 Yetis Examples of Good and Bad Public Relations - Wednesday 1st of August 2012

Aug 1st 2012

Oh, well would you look at that. It is I, Alexandra the Great, back again for a third day running to give you the low-down on today's good and bad PR.

Bad PR

Some smashingly bad PR for Magaluf this Wednesday as it has been reported that loads of teenagers are going to the popular holiday destination to, well, get smashed. Pictures of drunken debauchery and salacious sartorial choices have plastered the front pages online and thousands of parents around the UK are simultaneously choking into their afternoon teas. Youths and parents alike are doubtlessly going to think twice before booking a holiday to a destination that is seemingly ridden with riotously rowdy ragamuffins. A few assonants off full alliteration, but overall execution of word play is worth a silver medal, surely?

Good PR

A good PR gong clashes on behalf of Team GB today as the press are going into full throttle celebratory mode. Why? Because we've finally won our first gold medal! Helen Glover and Heather Stanning took to the paired rowing boat this afternoon and beat Australia and New Zealand to the first British gold in rowing since, well, ever. Congratulations to us. *pats self firmly on back* According to the media, nothing can stop us now from a strong gold medal haul this 2012.
