10 Yetis Examples of Good and Bad Public Relations - Tuesday 7th of August

Aug 7th 2012

Hey hey everybody, it's Alexa once again with Tuesday's gut und bahd PR. I have decided to lay off the Olympics this time - so calm right down and remember a world where we didn't obsessively watch half naked people run round and round and round a track. What a fleeting time that was.

Good PR

For Lipsy today. Made in Chelsea star Millie Mackintosh is headlining the fashion label's 'VIP' party dress collection. This elevates evening high street fashion into the realm of elite designer whilst simultaneously making it look accessible to the average shopper. Despite questioning whether Mackintosh would actually wear the dresses herself, the press are hotly focused on, quite simply, how good she looks: a definite boost to a brand that isn't a large high street player in comparison to the likes of Topshop.

Bad PR

Bad, or should I say awkward PR goes to Diana Vickers today. She's had press coverage recently for her performances around the country - and somewhat dodgy fashion choices. And this is no different; despite playing in Blackpool, Vickers opted for a 'Love London' t-shirt. The media are a bit confused as to why she would purposely undermine her audience.
