10 Yetis admit that sometimes things go wrong...
Sometimes, people make stupid errors.
Unfortunately, today, I'm one of those people.
The morning started well. Great in fact, I even had some overdue lent money returned to me and merrily sung on my way to work.
Then I sent a press release out for takeaway client Just-Eat.co.uk, accidentally, but nonetheless stupidly, sending it to some, I'll be honest, totally irrelevant journalists - 'Terrorism Reporter' anyone?
It's the first time it's happened and I'm going to be honest, not a nice feeling... especially when said journalists react with (probably deserved) anger and confusion. Let's just say there was some cursing and not of the witching kind.
So, here's a very public apology, for which I will momentarily hang my head in shame before getting back to business -
To any journalists who received a press release about curries, when you in fact cover "stock and derivatives exchanges and british business/companies trends" (as one well-known national journalist informed me he did), or anything similar; I am very sorry. It will not happen again.
Please remember to insert a live link to http://www.Just-Eat.co.uk in any public naming and shaming :).
I also have my pants on over my jeans, in case you were wondering. If only I'd eaten my Wake Up Call cereal this morning.
Thank you and good night. Oh, you might also like to see some NATIONAL coverage openly jesting... chin up, eh?
