10 Yetis Wonders - Gloucester Taxi Help - Have You Ever Parked in a Taxi Bay and Got Abuse?
What an amazing spectacle at our office today... as I was getting out of the car in our office business park I was fortunate enough to witness a flock of Gloucester taxi's riding in, kinda like the Ride of the Valkyries sequence from Apocalypse Now.
After my initial amazement at the beautiful sequence and how they were all going into the local Union offices I noticed that there was so many they started parking in other offices parking bays, for example, the parking bays used by our lovely business neighbours, the same company that also has the downstairs to our offices... bit cheeky.
As this is Britain and we are all too polite to complain I embarked on some serious tutting and huffing. Chatting about it in the office though, there were a few observations about the times people here had parked in Taxi bays and how the taxi drivers were the first to come over and intimidate you into moving your car.
So, rather than getting placards, banners and some beefy looking types to scare our Gloucester-taxi-driver-parking-bay-snatchers off, we thought a snooty blog to vent our spleen was much better.
Oh yeah, the punchline... apparently they are all in the Union Office on a taxi driver customer services training course...(don't let the facts get in the way of a good story)
If any of the taxi drivers are reading this, our car is parked in Bay 5 - the nice big Mercedes.

That is some of the rudest parking I have seen in years, no excuses for them what so ever!
If I am correct, they will have been taking part in a 3 day NVQ in conjunction with Unite The Union. I just hope this photo was taken at day one registration time, not the graduation ceremony…
It looks like the 806 on the right belongs to the Customer Service NVQ Tutor…

A few rogue taxi's made it onto our parking area and next doors, but cos we are scared of you burly bunch we decided a comedy blog post would be better than a formal complaint.
p.s. don't get us started on the clampers!
