Good PR
A nice dash of good PR for Tesco after a schoolboy used two of its Value vacuum cleaners to invent a device that allowed him to scale walls.
Hibiki Kono, 13, who is a big fan of Spiderman, made the incredible climbing machine using the suction from the two Tesco Value vacuum cleaners.
Definitely puts any science experiment I did at school (if you can call burning pens on the Bunsen burner an "experiment") to absolute shame.
Bad PR
Right! I didn't want to mention it but someone has to. The World Cup! I'm not going to dwell on the fact that England are out, and instead focus on the fact that the big chiefs at Fifa, well one in particular, won't admit that we need line technology.
Sepp Blatter is still defending his decision that new gadgetry isn't needed! How this can be justified is absolutely beyond me. This comes despite the fact that Frank Lampard was denied a goal in England's World Cup clash against Germany, which saw them lose and leave the competition over the weekend. Had there been new technology (which would have taken all of minutes to get an accurate decision) the game could have been completely different, with England being level on 2-2.
Whatever happens with all this, the people at Fifa should be embarrassed by themselves.
