If you’ve ever had one of those conversations about how big the universe really is, you’ll know it’s the kind of topic that can easily leave you with a big of a sore head. Well, thanks to Europe's Planck telescope which was sent into space last year, a full image has been revealed that shows our entire universe and it features the oldest light in the cosmos.
The satellite was launched by the European Space Agency and sent nearly a million miles into space to record the origins of the universe. I’m still trying to get my head around what exactly it is I’m looking at in the picture, but it’s pretty impressive nonetheless!
Bad PR
The NHS are under criticism again today after it’s been leaked that a “big budget” adult movie was filmed in a London Hospital. Although the film apparently generated a substantial income for the hospital, which hired out one of its wards to the film-makers, I’m not sure it’s the best way to raise funds.
NHS Kensington & Chelsea distanced itself from the matter with the following comment "We can confirm this incident occurred sometime prior to 2002 under a predecessor organisation's management and prior to the formation of PCTs.”
Apparently it took place in a closed ward, so in-patients didn’t get an eyeful but it was “fully equipped” and I’m not sure I’d like the idea of being treated in a room where all sorts of things had gone on...
