Free Valuation Tool For Video Game Collections Launched Online
A video game price comparison and marketplace site has today launched a free online tool that allows gaming fans to value their entire video game collections; providing price lists of their collection if bought new, used or traded-in.
Video game fans will now have the ability to easily check what kind of value they hold in the video games sitting on their shelves, as a free online valuation tool has been launched by a game price comparison and marketplace site.
The video game valuation tool, launched by www.Playr2.com, aims to help gamers realise the value of their games collections; showing them what money may by lying in unused video games in their ownership.
The valuation tool works by scanning the ‘Owned Games’ lists of members of the site. These are updated by members by simply searching for or ‘scanning in’ barcodes of the games they own, meaning their games collections can be updated on the site quickly and easily. The new valuation tool then automatically values the owned video games; giving new, used and trade-in valuations of the collection, based on up-to-date prices.
The tool was created by Playr2.com to help gamers see easily how much value they hold in their video game collections. With the price of new games ever-increasing, the valuation tool aims to highlight how much money is sitting in the unused games that lie in every collection; as well as simply showing how much every individual’s collection is worth in the current market.
Those wishing to value their video game collections on the move can also do so using the Playr2 Smartphone App; which allows gamers to directly scan their game collections in and view values on the mobile optimised version of the Playr2 site.
Simon Kilby, Founder of www.Playr2.com, commented on the launch of the tool:
Video game collections inevitably grow over time, and it can be easy to forget about the value that may lie in the games you haven’t played or even looked at for years. With the online valuation tool, we aim to make updating owned games lists and valuing them as easy as possible; showing complete collection values based on the current market prices.
He continued:
“ Finding out how much your entire collection is worth can be a huge surprise, particularly if you’ve forgotten how much money you’ve spent over the years. Let’s face it, games aren’t cheap; so if you’re wanting to free up some cash to buy some new releases, valuing your collection can point you in the right direction towards the games that might be worth a few bob, but are just sitting unused at home. It’s not a cheap hobby, so knowing how much your collection is worth can be an eye opener!”
