New Jobs For Colchester Catering Company Thanks To Council Contract
A Colchester based catering company that has gone from operating out of a tiny space at the back of a shop to buying a ready made catering venue is celebrating having been awarded two major contracts by Colchester Borough Council.
Buffets to Suit based at the Cowdray Function Venue in Colchester has won one contract to be the sole provider of catering services to Colchester Borough Council and a second contract that puts them on the list of private catering partners for prestigious functions at Colchester Town Hall.
The contract has created two new jobs which the owners of the business are looking to recruit for as soon as possible.
Hayley Howard launched the business 4 years ago in a tiny catering space in the back of her bridal shop. After just one year word had spread about the quality of the food on offer so she joined forces with her friend, Nikki Allston, and the business went from being a sideline to becoming the main focus for the owners.
Speaking about the contract win Hayley Howard said: “We are proud that one of the major reasons we got the contract is because of our excellent reputation within the council and because we demonstrated how we could work with them to improve the service to both staff, and corporate customers.
“Nikki and I have both worked 6/7 days a week for the last three years and the new recruits will enable us to take our services to an even higher level for our new and existing customers plus, we see this as a springboard to winning other major clients in and around the county.”
Jo Hughes, Colchester Borough Council Business Development Manager commented: “Buffets to Suit were able to demonstrate an all round, complete offering of quality products, value for money and a track record of excellent service that added up to the ideal solution for Colchester Borough Council.”
The company has an increasing number of business buffets to cater for every day along with providing services to weddings and parties every weekend in and around the county.
