Winners Of 2011 Airline Satisfaction Awards Announced
The winners of the 2011 Jetcost Airline Satisfaction Awards have today been announced; revealing which UK airlines top the charts when it comes to customer satisfaction on-board.
A new awards scheme, aiming to put UK airlines under the spotlight when it comes to customer satisfaction, has today announced its results; showing travellers around the UK which airlines come up trumps when it comes to ensuring their customers have a pleasant flight experience.
The Jetcost Airline Satisfaction Awards, launched by flight-comparison website Jetcost.co.uk, were launched with an aim of celebrating the relationship between passenger and airline; and members of the British public were invited to vote for their favourite airlines under several different categories at www.AirlineSatisfactionAwards.com.
In total, 1,232 votes were cast, with the results collated and announced today.
According to the results, the winners of each category featured in the Jetcost Airline Satisfaction Awards were as follows:
1) The Best Value for Money Airline
Winner- Easyjet
2nd Place- Ryanair
2) The Award for Most Efficient Airline

2nd Place- Thomson Airways
3) The Award for the Friendliest Airline Staff

2nd Place- Virgin Atlantic
4) The Award for Best Airline Food

5) The Award for the Most Comfortable Airline

6) The Award for the Most Attractive Airline Staff

According to the results of the 2011 Jetcost Airline Satisfaction Awards, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic were regarded most highly in areas of customer satisfaction; winning two categories each.
Easyjet also beat budget airline rival Ryanair, to clinch the title of ‘Best Value for Money Airline’.
Jerome Cohen-Scali, Co-Founder of Jetcost.co.uk, commented on the results of the awards:
“By launching this awards scheme, we really wanted to look into which airlines in the UK were proving to be successful when it comes to keeping their passengers happy; and so created the awards with categories spanning several different areas of customer satisfaction. It was great to see so many votes cast, and the results are certainly interesting.
It was surprising to see two supposedly non-budget airlines clinch the top spots, particularly when many know what a tough time they’ve had over recent years when it comes to flight sales. It seems that although passengers love to bag themselves a bargain, long-established airlines such as British Airways are still highly regarded in the minds of the UK flier.
He continued:
“We hope that the results help to show UK travellers where they can potentially find the best travelling experience, although, of course, every flight is different. It was certainly interesting to see Easyjet steal the ‘Best Value for Money’ crown from Ryanair; some healthy rivalry could potentially erupt!”
