10 Yetis Examples of Good and Bad PR - Thursday 6th February 2020

I’m a little late this week, but as they say… better late than never ???? Here’s this week’s good and bad PR for you to dig your teeth into – enjoy!

Good PR

I’m going to give a little good PR to Apple for having shipped as many as 31 million Apple Watches throughout 2019 – compared to all Swiss brands collectively having shipped 21 million in the same time frame.

Many of us know and love Apple. I, myself, have an iPhone and an Apple Watch and would be lost without either.

Today Subway is offering a free 6” sub to customers who purchase a bottle of water or large drink… but only if they live in Anglia (I’m totally not bitter about this, AT ALL).

Apparently today is “Anglia Customer Appreciation Day” – and with this in mind, Subway, I’m waiting for us to get through the alphabet (quickly) and get to “Gloucester Customer Appreciation Day”. K, thanks, bye.

My last spot of good PR has to go to Primark. They’re amazing. I love them. And now I love the brand even more because they’ve launched THE CUTEST clothes for puppies, ranging from £5 to £7. These are designed for small dogs, not big ones, but it’s such a great move.

The new range includes a bright yellow raincoat, a unicorn outfit and one that makes sausage dogs look like hotdogs.

Bad PR

Yesterday Microsoft users found that they couldn’t use their computer’s search function for many hours. While it was fixed quite swiftly, so many of us rely on the cloud-based service for much of what we do online, and it’s never ideal to have a large number of customers shut out from being able to use their systems.
