10 Yetis Examples of Good and Bad PR - Tuesday 5th February 2019

Happy Tuesday. Today's good and bad PR is a good 'un, tuck on in!

Good PR

AMAZING JOB ALERT.

And no, I'm not talking about the fact we're looking to hire a Social Media Account Executive (although it really is the talk of the town).

Royal Caribbean are looking to hire someone to travel the world with the job title 'Shore Explorer'. You can even do it whilst keeping your main job, assuming your boss will let you take three weeks off in one go.

And the best bit? I mean, other than the fact you'll get to see various parts of the world, is that you'll be paid £6,000!!!

You might be wondering what the catch is, but really all you have to do is share your experiences on Instagram. It's an all-expenses paid trip where you'll get to visit the likes of Japan, Alaska, Europe and the Middle East, as well as being one of the very first in the world to visit Perfect Day at CocoCay (a new and ultra exclusive private island in the Caribbean).

The winner will be chosen by an independent panel of judges:

  • James McVey - The Vamps' writer & guitarist and contestant on I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! 2018
  • Ben Bouldin - MD of Royal Caribbean International UK & Ireland
  • Nadia El Ferdaoussi - travel writer
  • Russ Francis - London-based photographer and social media expert

How do I enter, I hear you scream!

Simple. All you've got to do is share your fave travel experience on Instagram, either in photo or video form, (whether on your Instagram timeline, Insta Stories on IGTV) making sure to tag #ShoreExplorer and @RoyalCaribbeanUK. You must be 21 or over, have a valid passport and be able to travel this year.

Bad PR

Do you ever see something and just think "What the actual frick is going on here?"

That was my instant reaction when I saw the new thong-fronted bodysuit for sale on Boohoo. I then thought that maybe she had the bodysuit on backwards, but look at the chest area and you can tell she is indeed wearing it the right way around.

I can no longer find this on the Boohoo website but I'm hoping it's not been taken down. It's hilarious. It also makes me want to cross my legs and pray for the model.

Although what really made my day was coming across the story on the Metro where they questioned how the model is just so smooth 'down there'. They're questioning whether it's photoshop or if she uses some magical products us mere mortals need to know about. Eagerly awaiting Metro's update!

I'm just so confused on what's going on here.
