Good PR

JFK airport are bringing us all the feels today with news that they are opening their very own pet terminal – allowing our little fluffy friends some freedom and even luxury during their travels. Decked out with a 20,000 sq foot spa, cat adventure jungle and splashing pools, there is even a ‘top dog suite’ where they can relax in full sized beds, watch top of the range TVs and send their love to their owners via webcam.

This seems so bizarre that we’re tempted to write it off as a stunt, especially as there’s no estimate open dates just yet, but we’re going to hush the cynics in us because this would just be so damn cute.

Bad PR

It’s a bad day for German doll manufacturers, Genesis Toys, after their adorable/terrifying Cayla doll has been subject to some criticism. Apparently little Cayla is very interactive and can respond to questions, but problems in the product’s software has shown it’s vulnerable to hacking – allowing strangers to speak directly to children through Cayla. Kinda like possession, only more perverted.

The manufacturers are yet to address these claims, which could be rather a big mistake – the longer they stay quiet, the guiltier they look. We’ll assume that they are spending this time investigating how this has come to pass and quickly figuring out how to rectify it, rather than sticking their heads in the sand; but a little comment along those lines wouldn’t go amiss.
