Our client Hillarys (you know, the ones who make the made-to-measure window blinds, curtains and more...?), well they recently did a survey around Christmas and they found something alarming... one in 10 Britons already have their Christmas tree up, even though it's only the start of November.
Now, don't get me wrong - I'm a HUGE Christmas fan. I've been watching festive films for some time now and have also begun playing Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas on a loop, but even I think having your tree up already is a tad premature. Simply because, by the time Christmas comes around, you'll be sick of looking at your tree - and no one wants that!
Anyway, the results of the survey done by Hillarys was interesting and we pushed it out to a variety of journalists who thought so too. So far we've generated coverage on the London Evening Standard and Huffington Post, and we're expecting more to come through over the next few days and in the lead up to Christmas.
What do you reckon... too soon? Or are you one of those who already has your tree up / at least out of the attic ready to be put up?
