The Eastgate Shopping Centre in Gloucester has had a fun-filled August with the installation of an indoor beach- providing a great, sandy play area for kids both big and little throughout the Summer month. Entertainment was a-plenty, with Punch and Judy, Makendoo, face painters and a sand artist all coming along throughout the month to entertain shoppers- bringing the seaside well and truly to Gloucester!
Now the indoor beach has come to an end, the Eastgate is inviting members of the public to grab a slice of the beach and take home their own portion of the sand. It can be used for many things- from indoor and outdoor play areas to guarding your path against the winter cold, and there's plenty to be shared. The plea for people to come forward has so far got some great coverage on the Citizen- Gloucestershire's local paper- including a great picture of Centre Manager Jason Robinson.
