10 Yetis Good and Bad PR - Friday 28th March

Good and Bad PR from Andy on a wet but fun Friday

Bad PR

Heathrow's new terminal... turn on the news, see for yourself. Has all the ingredients of a PR disaster i.e. IT problems (have they just tried turning it off and then on again?), kids with suitcases crying, parents without hotels to stay in and elderly people saying it as not as bad as when the war started. The media is strutting round the new terminal en masse hoovering up sad stories of people's holiday's being ruined whilst being merrily chased by BAA PR staffers who are just saying "we are sorry" over and over again.

The only thing they could have done better was wheel out their top man, Willie Walsh, a bit quicker but even that would not have stopped a hungry press pack

Good PR

The Treasury... they have come up a great new "grass your mate up" plan that will enable the City Boys to snitch up their mates who they suspect of manipulating the market! Quite a good idea and will fall under the same Whistleblower rules so it could help prevent more market misery. Well done Alistair, Darling (said Gordy).

By the way, ever seen these two in the same place?
