10 Yetis Good and Bad PR - Tuesday 26th February 2008

Todays choices are from Rich, who is suitably unimpressed with the lack of Good PR today!

Good PR
Making up for the lack of Good PR stories in the media today, is that of web-giant Google, who have been named 'the highest regarded brand in the UK, overtaking none other than the BBC, Microsoft and British Airways.

I guarantee that we'll see the verb to 'google' in the Oxford dictionary soon... I must 'google' 1'020'983 times a day. At least.

Google. (GOO.gul) v. To actually be enslaved by a search engine from which you can find anything worth finding in the world ever.

One of the most recognisable logos in the world. Bet it cost them millions, and an expert in MS Paint.

Bad PR
Labour have taken a bit of a hit today, as the latest monthly voter survey reveals that the Tories are up by 11 points. In an election, these figures would apparently mean a 38 seat majority.

The survey shows that the Conservatives are ahead in every socio-economic class, each British region bar Scotland, and all age groups apart from the 18-24s – the least likely group to vote. In fact, belonging to that group, I should probably not even talk about politics.

I'm off to play desensitisingly violent videogames, where I'll probably smoke illicit drugs whilst ignoring contraceptive STI advice, before donning a hoody and happyslapping a few grannies, thankyou please.
