10 Yetis Good and Bad PR - Wednesday 28 May

Andy's choice

Good PR
Fuel protesters got masses of coverage yesterday and were able to get their message across. There was a slight PR mix up when the head of the protest said he was not sure what the next steps where, should the government not act, but fortunately someone else was on hand to reiterate the next steps would be blockading the refineries.

I cannot remember what it is the Labour Government did after the last refinery blockade to prevent it from happening again, but I am sure that some form of anti-terrorist act will be abused by the authorities to stop the protests. Cynical? Moi?

Bad PR
Yesterday the UK was subjected to the worst power cuts for the last 10 years due to multiple power station failures. It got so bad that the National Grid had to take the unusual step of asking Distributors to switch to a lower currency. What is weird is that the Electricity Generator companies are refusing to say what caused the problem. Conspiracy theorists are going through the roof with possible reasons. I think someone needs to explain the situation, I am sure we will all be able to cope with the truth.
