10 Yetis Just Not Bothered by Prince MoS Public Relations Campaign

Don't know about you, but I just cannot get excited by the Mail on Sunday and its giveaway of Princes new album as a public relations / marketing campaign. The editor of the MoS was on the BBC News this morning defending the paper's decision to giveaway copies of the purple dwarfs new album.

Apparently the paper paid Prince a fair old whack calling it a $1m dollar deal (£500k). The paper is also "campaigning" for the music charts to incorporate free giveaway music in its chart calculations.

Apparently the "music industry" is not happy about this whole giveaway, but I am not sure if this is genuine unhappiness or just something the MoS has whipped up to create a storm.

Personally, I only liked Princes early stuff (Purple Rain yada yada yada) and as the music journo who was on the BBC said today, his new stuff is not very good and this was the only way he could shift so many copies :-) cynical bugger!
