A very serious story but what made it jump out for me was the example the PDSA gave for the potential perils of dogs travelling whilst not being belted in.
This is the example they gave, as reported on Sky News:
"Animal welfare charity PDSA says that in a vehicle involved in a crash at 30mph, an unrestrained 50lb (22.5kg) border collie would be thrown forward with a force equivalent to a polar bear".
This fella had a white car - unlucky or what!
A Polar Bear! Where did they get that from and how did they work it out?
