I have noticed that Second Life, the virtual life game for nerds and social misfits has been all over the press this weekend after three very odd stories.
The first is that police in America are looking into whether or not people can be prosecuted for stalking people using their virtual characters (i.e. one geek’s virtual character stalks another person’s virtual character).
The second story is from Germany and alleges that people may be selling in decent images of Children.
And then the third story is that Playboy is opening a mansion in the Second Life world!
An Ageing Playboy Bunny
What is going on in this place?
I have never ever looked at Second Life, and only referenced it socially via this blog, but it seems that the company behind it is facing the same battle’s that real society faces and I guess that means there will soon become a Third Life.
