10 Yetis Wonders About First Song Product Placement Deal

So Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas (no, not the toe sucking ginger one) has agreed a monster £2m deal to start plugging products in her songs.

She will now start mentioning Candies (an American clothing company) in her songs and in return she will get a wedge of dosh. But, what will this mean for none commercial radio stations like the good old BBC? Will they continue to play her records or will they get shot of here because they don't allow advertising?

She Was Sponsored By British Tourist Board in this Photo

I wonder if Fergie would have been better doing what other artists are rumoured to do and that is plug the product in the song but not admit to taking the corporate dollar? Fair play to her for being honest and transparent about it but I think it may damage her in the long run.

Ok, moving on, who can think of other artists who should benefit from corporate sponsorship?

Britney Spears = maybe Bic razors for her heeeed?
Pete Doherty = Got to be night nurse
Wurzels = Cider
Snoop Dogg = Heckler and Koch or maybe AK47
Elton John = Allied Carpets

ho ho ho, the list is endless!
