BBC Online Goes "Yoof" Marketing about WOM and Gets it Wrong

I was really surprised and quite disappointed with this article from the BBC about Word of Mouth (WOM) marketing.

The company mention is from the USA and is claiming to be bringing this form of WOM to Britain via a unique partnership with a UK based company and the BBC has eaten the whole PR story hook line and sinker without checking with wider marketing people about its merits.

If they had of done they would have surely found out that Levi's some time ago, and Apple more recently have been doing this for a while in the UK.
