10 Yetis Insight Blog – 8 Of The Best Universities For PR

Students are gearing themselves up to get ready to start university in September, and whilst it may be too late to embark on a degree for the 2016/2017 academic year, it's never too early to begin looking at courses for the 2017/2018 academic year - and it's never too early to begin working on your application, although applications don't officially open until September.

There are so many different aspects to think of when you’re considering going to university, such as which university is going to be best for you, fees and loans, student accommodation and the opportunities that will come from attending university.

We’ve compiled a list of 8 of the best universities around the UK and the undergraduate Public Relations courses that are on offer, taking a little of the stress away. Everything from what the course is, to the duration and the course requirements…

That being said, you don’t necessarily have to undertake an undergraduate degree in Public Relations in order to get a job in the industry; marketing and journalism courses will also give you a great insight into the industry, whilst filling your brain with the knowledge that will give you a foot in the door ahead of your competition. I'm a great example of this - I have a background in Events and went to the University of Gloucestershire to study Events Management and Marketing Management & Branding. I've now been in the PR industry for a little over 3 years and absolutely love it.

Alternatively, if you don’t feel that university is for you, you can always look to get a job in the industry straight away. We constantly keep our Careers page updated with available job opportunities, and whilst experience does help it’s not always necessary.
