10 Yetis Insight - how to set up Instagram adverts using Facebook Power Editor

Andy reporting in for Insight duty. Today I have been recording a gripper of a screen grab video that is a step-by-step how-to guide on creating Instagram adverts for the first time, using Facebook's Power Editor.

The video is available below, apologies about the music, but my voice is so dull I bored even myself and thought a bit of catchy music may jazz it up a little.

There are a couple of steps that are vital, the below bullets should help.

1. You need to assign your Instagram account to the Facebook business page you want to be connected. e.g. I want the 10 Yetis Instagram account to be connected to the Facebook business page for 10 Yetis. - The video shows you how to do this.

2. When you assign your account to the correct Facebook business page it takes Facebook up to 48hours to process and activate Instagram ads - worth noting!

3. Facebook Power Editor is VERY buggy. It quite often freezes and needs to be re-set via a close and re-open. It is very annoying.

4. Make your image eye catching. This is Instagram, you gotta step up your game!

5. The normal Facebook rules around ads not having text that takes up more than 20% of the advert space applies to Instagram too. Obviously, duh, Instagram is a visual platform!

5. Don't forget to upload changes at the end of adding your new ad campaign.

I am sure Facebook will change things very soon and my Guide to Setting up Instagram adverts will be out of date in no time, but for now, I hope it helps.

Thanks to the team for putting up with me doing 147 takes before getting it right :-)
