10 Yetis Examples of Good and Bad PR - Monday 5th November 2018

Remember, remember the fifth of November,
Gunpowder treason and plot.
We see no reason
Why gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot!

It’s Monday, it’s Bonfire Night and it’s also my turn at this week’s good and bad PR!

Good PR

So, Greggs bakery have cheekily turned their shop logo round in Northumberland Street, Newcastle so it reads perfectly in the reflection of the shop window opposite.

Why, you ask? Well Fenwick department store is renowned for its popular Christmas window display, so in a bid to get free advertisement they timed their stunt to coincide with shopper’s photographs of the window display. Clever right?

At least it is a bit better than their idea last year of replacing Jesus as a sausage roll, but then all publicity is good publicity right?

It might look a bit weird at first glance but this little stunt has definitely got people talking all things Greggs!

Bad PR

British Airways have found themselves in hot water as passengers were forced to sleep on the airport floor during a three day delay.

They have been accused of treating their customers with contempt after the flight from Orlando to London was diverted and passengers were left at New York’s JFK airport with no information, accommodation or access to food and drink for hours on end. The journey has been described as a nightmare but according to BA it was just a ‘minor’ technical issue.

At least they got home eventually, just 77 hours later!
